Whitewater Ski Resort in British Columbia, Canada, is known for its epic powder skiing and stunning mountain views. The resort sits atop the Monashee mountain range, just 40 minutes from the town of Nelson, with a total of 800 acres of ski area. While Whitewater offers a variety of terrain to challenge each level of skiier, it is particularly well known for its deep, face-kneed powder. On average, Whitewater receives 18 metres of snow a year, and boasts the longest ski season in BC. It also features an unbridled backcountry alpine setting with terrain for everyone, from beginner groomers to expert tree runs and chutes.
Whitewater is a resort community in British Columbia's Kootenay region, located about 17 kilometres south of Nelson. It's a popular destination for winter and summer activities, with a wide selection of hiking trails. Enjoy stunning views of Kootenay Lake and the surrounding glaciers from many of the trails, with varied terrain that offers something for all hikers. Popular trails in the area include the Whitewater Trail, Gnome Sauna Trail, Three Mile Creek Trail, and Whitewater Meadows. There are also a number of trails around Big White Mountain, which is located just north of the village. Whitewater is an ideal spot for outdoor exploration, so make sure to bring your camera!
