Shames Mountain is a ski resort located 35 km (22 mi) west of the city of Terrace, British Columbia, Canada. The area's vertical drop is 488 m (1600') with a summit elevation of 1189 m (3900'), with one surface lift and one double chair. Annual snowfall at the summit is 1200 cm (475 inches).

Shames Mountain (formerly Mt. Protocol) is located in the Bulkley Valley of Northern British Columbia, Canada. It is renowned for its spectacular views and wide variety of terrain. Its terrain includes long groomers and perfect powder tucked away in the ungroomed tree areas. Shames Mountain is a great spot to ski or snowboard regardless of your level of experience. One of its major draws is the fact that it features much more vertical than many other independent ski hills in the area. The lifts service 2,300 vertical feet of terrain and 80 runs ranging from easy greens to challenging double blacks. The longest run is 2.85 km long, and the terrain park is a favorite for snowboarders, skiers, and pipe riders alike. In addition, the mountain is known for its excellent snow conditions and generally uncrowded slopes.
