Kasprowy Wierch is widely considered the holy mountain of Polish skiing, located high in the Tatra Mountains of the Lesser Poland region. It offers the only true alpine-style skiing in Poland, featuring natural snow and challenging slopes that are best suited for intermediate and advanced skiers. Skiers can enjoy two main valleys, Gasienicowa and Goryczkowa, both serviced by chairlifts and surrounded by breathtaking high-mountain scenery. Access to the peak is provided by a historic and scenic cable car departing from the famous resort town of Zakopane. Because the slopes lie entirely within a protected national park, there is no artificial snowmaking, meaning the ski season depends on nature and often lasts well into spring.
