Shames Mountain is a ski resort located 35 km (22 mi) west of the city of Terrace, British Columbia, Canada. The area's vertical drop is 488 m (1600') with a summit elevation of 1189 m (3900'), with one surface lift and one double chair. Annual snowfall at the summit is 1200 cm (475 inches).

Shames Mountain is a beautiful ski destination located in British Columbia, Canada. With 426 acres of terrain, it is one of the largest resorts in the region and offers a great variety of on and off-piste. From beginner to advanced levels, skiers can enjoy long cruisers, exciting moguls and chutes, and stunning views of the Canadian Rockies. Shames is well equipped for all levels of skiers, with a variety of trails, lifts, services and rental facilities available. The mountain is also home to one of Canada's only Ski and Ride Schools that has been recognized for its World Class Service for over thirty years.
Shames Mountain, located in the northwest region of British Columbia, is an excellent destination for hiking and camping. The mountain features a well maintained hiking and biking trail network, with trails suitable for both beginner and experienced hikers. The trails are stunningly beautiful, offering views of both the coastal mountain range and the ocean below. There are also numerous lakes and rivers in the area, making it a great destination for fishing and swimming. In addition, there are many scenic campsites available for the night. The mountain is well known for it's snowshoeing and skiing, and for those that like winter activities there are plenty of snowshoe and ski runs to explore.
